We at Watchman Monitoring want to wish you a new year full of growth, success, and happiness.
There is a lot planned for the coming months and we could not have done it without your support. Your questions and feedback have been invaluable and we encourage it to continue.
Here is a recap of what we’ve accomplished in 2013, followed by a taste of what’s on deck for 2014:
- Servers were moved from linode.com (a fantastic partner) to Amazon, with auto-scaling and backups assisted by RightScale.
- Overhauled the Watchman Monitoring server interface, bringing improved search and a responsive mobile interface.
- Released our REST-based API.
- Added one-click mute links to the emails we send, re-styled our plain-text emails for use in any ticketing system.
- Zendesk integration which provides a simple and effective way of demonstrating the value of monitoring by assigning tickets to your end users.
- A Linux agent which allows you to monitor CrashPlan and Kerio Connect servers.
- Documentation on how to integrate JAMF and Absolute to combine their management and reporting features with our problem-detection solution.
- We’ve published customizable assets (login required) for our subscribers to use in building and marketing Proactive Support Services.
Not a bad year!
The following are a small selection of major features we have planned for 2014:
- Autotask integration
- Monkey Box integration
- Optional, customizable Support Menu (Custom Branding recommended)
- ConnectWise integration
- And for those of you who have to deal with the dark side still, we have a development team working on a Windows agent. Get your feature requests in now.
