Release Notes: Mac Client

[Feature] Posted auto-updater to bring all version 3.x clients up to the latest 3.3 build of the Watchman server. [Bug] Corrected a Time Machine reporting error in some cases where Time Machine had never been configured. [Note] All Watchman Monitoring Clients are compatible with all versions of the Watchman Monitoring Servers.

[Feature] The client now monitors for changes in available “Spare” drives in an Apple Raid set. This will catch instances where a member is separated from a mirror set, without actually calling the RAID “failed”. [BugFix] No longer warns if Time Machine had been configured, but is now disabled. (bug introduced in v3.2).

[Feature] Rewrite of the Time Machine plugin for reliability in manually running Time Machine (to be added in the 3.3 client’s PreferencePane). [Feature] Easier filtering of I/O Error check filters to reduce false positives. [Change] Only scan last two hours’ logs for various errors. [Bugfix] Properly handle “&” in the ClientGroup.

[Feature] Added an Uninstaller to the Watchman Client’s PreferencePane. [Feature] Added an “Update Now” button to the PreferencePane. [Feature] Added an -F flag to the updater script, to force an update if desired. [Feature] Option-click the Watchman icon in the PreferencePane to see the current status on the Watchman Server’s web interface.

[Feature] Added Client-side auto updating (security via SSL and SHA-512 comparisons). [Feature] Created Update Status plugin to report tamper attempts. [Feature] Client now reports current Uptime. [Bugfix] Time Machine trigger would count too many days before a run.
