What does Watchman Monitoring Do?

What defines a “non-invasive agent”?

Our agent does nothing but report issues, leaving all repairs to be worked out with you & your clientele

The monitoring agent does not modify any files or logs on the monitored computer.

How will I know which computer has the problem?

Each emailed report contains the computer’s serial number, computer name, user’s short name, and the Client Group you’ve assigned.

Will I get an email when my Watchman Server receives an error report from the client I installed?

Yes, your Watchman Monitoring server sends an email when an issue is reported, allowing you to coordinate corrective action with your end user.

What is a “Client Group”?

The Client Group is an arbitrary name which you set during installation, for the purpose of sorting and identification

How does Watchman Monitoring know there is an issue on my end users’ computers?

Your Watchman Server receives reports from the Monitoring Client which you are able to deploy any computer you choose.

How can I prevent my Watchman Server from sending one email per day about a given issue, once I’ve scheduled a time to address the issue?

You may mute any given problem report regarding any given client by clicking the URL contained in every email we send. The server will resume daily warnings once the mute-until date has passed, or if a problem re-occurs.

Will the Monitoring Client fix any of these issues?

No.  The Monitoring Client will not effect any file on your clients’ computers.
