Is monitoring needed?
I just got done listening to Alan Gordon of the Humac Group, speaking at MacSysAdmin 2010. His talk laid out some great reasons why to monitor your systems.
Of course, as with so many monitoring systems, software packages assume ownership of the computers and their networks.
Watchman Monitoring makes none of those assumptions, and yet does everything possible to enable a service provider to answer the questions which give us insight as to just why a backup isn’t happening, or when things are going wrong.
Development continues as this post is typed, as we add 5 more plugins this week, to help keep us in tune with our Client machines.
