TLS 1.0 & 1.1 disablement Jan 2, 2022 – Deprecation of OS support

In recent Mac and Windows agent release notes, we’ve indicated that support for older OS is ending. This is in large part due to the following upcoming change: As of January 2, 2022, Watchman Monitoring will only support Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 and newer. For most subscribers, this change will have little consequence. To see if this effects your fleet, we have added an “Unsupported OS” search in the Saved Searches in your Computer list view. Because the pending TLS change will prevent older OS from communicating with our server, and to prevent our agent from becoming stuck, the Monitoring Client software will be set to remote remove on November 30, 2021, ahead of the January 2 disablement of TLS 1.0 & 1.1. The related records will remain in your Dashboard, but will no longer report and show as “Agent Removed”. Monitoring Clients will be set to remote-remove on November 30, 2021: Windows XP Windows Vista Windows Server 2003 Windows Server 2008 Mac OS X 10.5 to MacOS X 10.8 Linux computers whose OS has left LTS. Window Server 2008 R2 will remain supported. Macs running 10.9 and 10.10 may continue to report, but no longer receive updates. As always, ...
