Laptop Battery Plugin
The Laptop Battery plugin reports on the condition, capacity, cycle count and serial number of the laptop battery. Battery condition can be Fair, Poor or Replace Soon. You will be alerted when the battery condition changes to anything other than “normal” or “fair”.
The one-time warning reports include:
- battery demographics
- battery condition
- max and current capacity

Tip
For Apple Laptops, battery cycle counts can range from 300 to 1000 charge cycles. Apple publishes the battery cycle count for Mac notebooks.

Tip
The maximum capacity can be higher than the design capacity for a new battery.
Important
Some 3rd party batteries may report an invalid serial number.
Warning
Failing batteries can have a really high maximum capacity.
